PSL welcomes Denise Williams:
Denise is the new Child and Family Specialist for Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services in New Orleans. She will be working from Lakeview Presbyterian Church. You will have the opportunity to meet her at the upcoming Presbytery meeting at Lakeview.
Denise Williams is a native of New Orleans, La. She has 33 years of working with children and families. Denise received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Welfare from Dillard University and her Master’s Degree from Southern University in New Orleans.
Denise began her service with State Government in 1982 where she started working with the Department of Labor where she assisted clients with applying for unemployment and promoted to Administrative Law Judge. In 1995 she joined the Office of Family Support assisting families with monetary benefits and helping them with job training. In 1997 she began working with the Department of Children and Family Services. During her tenure she worked as a Foster Care Worker, Assessment Worker and Family Service Worker. Denise dedicated her career to helping to empower families until she retired in 2015.
Needing to continue servicing families in her area she sought employment with the Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services. Denise is glad to be a part of the PSL team.
